Step by Step we are Helping
We have a procedure for how we wish to accomplish our goal and to overall ensure the success of this project. We are focused on reaching out to as many people as possible as soon as possible, as we ship out containers when we deem that we have collected enough for a shipment. Once we have determined such, we go forward and start collecting more clothes all over again. We repeat this process and hope to send containers once about every 6-8 months, as we do send a lot of clothes in each container.
Collecting Clothes
We must collect as many clothes as possible. We would like to fill the containers that we ship to the brim that way we can leave the biggest impact on the people we are aiming to help.
Organizing Clothes
We organize our clothes before packing them in the container, in hopes of making it easier for the distribution phase of our project
Container Packing and Shipment
After we finish organizing, we try to fill the shipment package to its maximum capacity before shipping as we have gaps in time between each container being sent
Clothes Distribution
Upon receiving the shipped clothes, the volunteers in India help distribute the clothes to those who aren't able to have them. We make sure to reach out to as many as possible so that we can have a large reach.

Every year we throw away so much clothes. Did you know that Vastra Daanam project was started where the youth volunteers from all over your city are working overtime to collect your gently used clothes and shoes and send them to India where hundreds are volunteers distribute these to the people who are in dire need of some clothes and some shoes even to send their children to school?

Our Goal
What is it?
The Problem
There are people all over the world without access to proper clothing, India is no exception with its large population.
Our Solution
Though there is not an easy way to completely resolve such a problem, there are ways to slowly make it smaller, we are doing so by collecting clothes for those who need it, starting with India.
The Process
We have organized several teams of volunteers to collect clothes locally. We collect these clothes and then pack them to be redistributed in India. We are determined to leave an impact on the people we choose to help.
